Ok, so looks like I'm going to be the one to do most of the posting on this thing -- Tom says he just doesn't have anything to say. Such a boy, that one!
Again this weekend consisted mainly of taking care of paperwork for the condo. Saturday we met with the mortgage guy and signed away our life. :) Just kidding, it just feels that way with all those numbers and papers in front of you. Then we had to rush to get to the lawyers office. This was our first meeting with him, but he was great. He was very easy to talk to and he was great at explaining things in laymans terms. We finished signing the develpers contracts, so once we receive their signatures on Monday our contracts will be complete. We'll just have to keep in contact with everybody as the closing gets closer. :) November 3rd (we moved it by a day) is our official closing date.
Yesterday we even finished picking out all of our options; cabinet & counter colors, bathroom tiles, wall & trim colors. :) It's exciting to have everything picked out -- it's just so hard to visualize.

Since we were in the unit that is just like ours (this is the 2nd floor one, we're in the 1st, but the locks from the last tenant haven't been changed yet) I decided to take some photos. Remember, our unit is not quite as far along as this one, but it's in basically the same condition: DISASTER AREA. :) We're planning to go back in about a month to check on progress and take a few more photos... So here we go:
