Laguna Beach

Today Tom and I went up to Oak Park to check on the condo (I'll post the photos later, but they look about the same b/c it's still a disaster). They've made some progress on the ducts and electrical work. They also framed out where the washer & dryer go along with the closet that houses the furnace/air conditioner. They also got the tile down in the bathroom (it's this great hexagonal pattern). We also met some of our neighbors, Jamison & Maya -- they seem pretty cool and about our age; they just moved in today (I'm pretty jealous about that).

Then we had lunch at this great sandwich shop in Oak Park (the spice bar with cream cheese frosting was AWESOME). On the way home we stoppped @ Harlem Roomplace to check on the color of the sofa we liked. We saw it online and thought it was pretty blue, but in the store it's more of a light teal. But we then decided on the same sofa/chair combo in brown. This is what it looks like (imagine it against a very light blue wall):

The sofa is a sleeper sofa, so all of our friends can come stay with us!! We bought it, which is exciting! Plus they are going to hold it until we're ready to have it delivered (in November!). Only 68 more days, I can't wait! I think all we need to find for the living room now is a rug and shades/curtains.

It'll be a few more week probably before we go back to check on it, just b/c we have so much time left. So until next time...
