2 weeks and 3 days.

While I really wish I had photos of our last pre-move trip to the condo, I unfortunately don't. We got there and low and behold the construction crew was there. Since they didn't appear to be doing much (besides eating donuts & smoking) we went in for a peak (b/c i didn't drive that far not to see progress). They construction guys were all very nice and had no problem letting us in (but why should they, we bought it.) :)

They're just about where we figured they would be. All the drywall is done, patched and ready to be painted (the living room & bedroom already had primer up). Looks like the plumbing is basically done... the tub is in! Plus all the tiles around the tub are up. I don't have any doubts about them getting it done in 15 days (holy crap, that's 2 weeks from FRIDAY!).

The whole weekend was mainly spent doing things for the condo. We went to check on parking stickers, but of course the place is only open 8-5 Mon-Fri. We did find the closest grocery store and I found a close vet. We then went to Crate & Barrel in Oak Brook to find out they had 16 of our dining room chairs, so we decided we'd come back on sunday with a bigger car (and no we didn't hold the chairs, who knew they'd all basically be gone in 1 day). So we went to Ikea and picked out our wardrobe (since our closet does kind of suck, i'll be honest). But we got some good ideas on how to make the best of the closet.

That's all we did Saturday, then Sunday we went back to Crate & Barrel to find out... yep you guessed it, they were basically out of our chairs. They had 2 (well 1 in a box and 1 floor model in perfect shape) . So we had to call around (after a minor freak out about not knowing what to do) to other C&Bs and found a store in Chicago (North Ave & Clyborne) had 4 chairs. So we had to make that treck. All in all we bought our chairs, table & buffet. I'm SUPER excited.

Our dining room & bedroom are all done (not everything is bought, but they're set and we're very happy). But of course now we're not sure if we like the entertainment center we picked out from Ikea. This we're probably going to wait until we get the couch in the living room to decide what will look best. I tell you buying & furnishing a house/condo is a lot of work. There is SO much to think about. So be warned for those of you who don't own houses yet...

:) Sorry there aren't any photos (didn't want the construction crew to think i was a freak). So the next photos I post will be of a COMPLETE condo.
